: 영어 소설을 같이 읽을 분 계실까요?
계시면 시즌별로 격주에 한 번 모여서 함께 읽으면 좋겠습니다.
영어 소설을 읽는 즐거움을 느끼고 싶은 분은 남녀노소 누구나 환영합니다. 다섯 분 내외면 좋겠습니다.
첫 책은 소설가 김용익 선생의 “The Wedding Shoes”(꽃신)를 읽을까 합니다.
출판사 남해의봄날에서 11월에 통영이 낳은 세계적인 문인 김용익 선생의 소설집을 복간했거든요.
소설가 박경리 선생은 잘 알려져 있지만 김용익 선생은 모르는 분이 많은 것 같습니다. 저도 통영에 와서 처음 알았어요. 그런데 김용익 선생이 정말 대단하더라고요. 처음부터 영어로 소설을 썼고, 선생이 쓴 소설이 미국 교과서에 실릴 정도랍니다.
